Amending or Cancelling your Order: You can cancel or change any of your current orders up until the amendment cut off point specified in your order confirmation. You can make changes to your order by going to 'My Account' or cancel your order. Alternatively you can call us for any amendment or cancellation. Please note that orders cannot be cancelled by email or sms.
Payment Processing: Any payment you make is not authorised, your Order will not be processed.
Order Processing: On receipt of your Order, we will begin processing it and will notify you by email that your Order has been received and is being processed. Please note that any confirmation page that you may see on the Site and any Order confirmation e-mail that you may receive each merely indicate that your Order has been received and is being processed by us, and does not necessarily mean that your Order has been accepted.
Order Delivery: Estimated times for deliveries and collections are provided by us are only estimates. You must ensure that a person is available to accept Delivery of your order at the Delivery Location and ensure the parcel is opened as soon as the delivery arrives and all fresh fruits & vegetables are stored in a refrigerator and any frozen items put away in a freezer. If there are any damaged/broken items, please get in touch with our customer care team within 12 hours of receiving the parcel with a brief description of the issue along with a photo of the product/parcel and email to sales@homefooddirect.com
Where delivery instructions are left, ie without signature, we cannot be held responsible for any missing goods. For example, if you request leaving in a bin where recycling may happen, or, in an outhouse that could be accessed by 3rd parties. The risk lies with you.
Rejected / Cancelled Orders: As per standard banking procedures, once you have submitted an Order that you are paying for by credit or debit card and your payment has been authorised, your bank or card issuer will "ring-fence" the full amount of your Order. If your Order is subsequently rejected or cancelled for any other reason, your bank or card issuer will not transfer the funds for the Order to us, and will instead release the relevant amount back into your available balance. However, this may take between 3 to 5 working days (or longer, depending on your bank or card issuer). You acknowledge and agree that we will not be responsible or liable to you in relation to this delay by your bank or card issuer in the release of funds back into your account.
Returns & Refunds: We'd like you to be happy with everything you purchase from us provided it is in a fully resalable condition along with their original packaging along with the original price tags, labels, invoices or receipt and any accessories. Should you change your mind about your purchase, please return the product with your proof of purchase, within 14 working days (Saturday, Sunday and Public holidays are not considered as working days) without giving a reason beginning on the day after you receive the goods and we'll happily offer a replacement or refund. Please be aware that some products have different return time limits and exceptions when you change your mind. We do not refund or accept change of mind returns on certain products due to health and hygiene reasons (such as toothbrushes etc); personalised items; or unsealed software, DVDs and CDs. We ask that perishable food items are returned within their use by date. Please note, that we may not provide you with a full refund if you have handled the goods beyond what is necessary to establish the nature, characteristics and functioning of the goods. You will need to take reasonable care of item(s) whilst they are in your possession (reasonable care includes inspecting an item, but would not extend to your opening and/or using it). Back orders: Back orders in the unlikely event that an item you ordered is not in stock we reserve the right to substitute it with smaller pack sizes, making up the required quantity, and/or another Brand of similar quality. Failing this we will either a) automatically refund the item or, b) if the item(s) represent a major part of your order, we would email you to advise you of the situation, with potential options, and request your advice on how you would like to proceed.
Prices will be as quoted on the Site (are priced in UK Pounds Sterling (GBP). These prices include VAT but may exclude delivery costs (if you opt for delivery instead of collection) and any online payment administration charges. These will be added to the total amount due where applicable.
This Site contains a large number of products and it is possible that some of the products may include incorrect prices. If the correct price for an Order is higher than the price stated on the Site, we will normally contact you before the relevant Order is dispatched. Please note products is produced in factories that may handle nuts, milk or dairy products, eggs, meats, wheat and gluten etc, so cross contamination cannot be eliminated.
